Secretary’s Report - Rocky Johnson
  • Correction to October meeting minutes:  Rogers Youth Snowmobile Safety Training is scheduled for Dec 3rd and Dec 10th.  October minutes approved; filed for future audit.
Treasurer’s Report - Mike Christenson
  • October report approved; filed for future audit.
Director-at-Large - Jerry Hanson
  •  None.
Trail Coordinator - Steve Hohag
  • Trail Program:  Grant-in-aid Program is being restructured to be more uniform; change will net the club approximately 20% more funding this year.  Trail access issues being ironed out in most areas.  Considering lamination of maps for map boards at key locations within trail system.. 
New Members
  • None present.
Old Business
  • Annual Membership Renewal & Invoicing:  Mailing complete, renewals are being received.
  • Club Mailings:  Promotional Mailing to solicit club membership:  letter being finalized; motion passed to amend the funds for this mailing to $2750 due to size of target audience.
  • Trail Issues:  Brushing date scheduled for Nov 5th for those areas needed; Hanover Bridge decking complete.
  • Map Distribution:  Maps available at the shed and will bring some to next meeting; if you have volunteered in the past to distribute maps, please consider doing so again this year.  Rob Bell to email reminder to those a list of a establishments with map boxes.
  • Website:  NWTrails website has been given a facelift and was rehosted at a better rate; thank you Rob Bell!  Check it out at www.nwtrails.net.



New Business
  • Groomer Driver Training: Anyone interested in driving the groomer this season and not already trained, please contact us at nwtrails@nwtrails.net to schedule individual training.
  • Club Appreciation Dinner:  Suggested that we consider another volunteer appreciation dinner this season; Rocky Johnson to look into dates and establishments.
  • Club Trip:  A few interested parties in club-sponsored snowmobile trip this year; Rocky Johnson to look into feasibility and present ideas for destination at next meeting.

  • Raffle Calendars:  Available again this year; $20 each, and some great incentives/prizes; see Nancy Hanson for purchase or if interested in selling.
  • Events:  Winder Rendezvous will be held at Shooting Star Casino & Hotel, Mahnomen, Feb 10-12; check out MnUSA website for more information and registration.
Club Updates
  • Loretto Snowbirds hosting trip to Hibbing last week of January.
Committee Reports
  • Map:  See info under Old Business.
  • Safety Committee:  Club purchased shirts for volunteer instructors.  Space available at both Rogers Youth Safety Training scheduled for Dec 3rd and 10th; and Corcoran Youth Safety Training scheduled for Dec 1st, 6th and 8th with combined outdoor practical at Corcoran City Hall Dec 17th.  Registration through www.nwtrails.net.
